About Todd
Am I the right professional for you?
I believe that professional relationships are very important. Our first meeting will be to explore if we can work together, for me to hear what brings you to my practice, and for you to hear about my approach and style. Let me share more of myself with you to help determine if I might be a good fit.

I completed my honours undergraduate degree in Psychology and Theatre Arts at Redeemer University College and my Master's of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University, specializing in Individual, Couple and Group counselling. I earned my doctorate from Wilfrid Laurier University as well.

I am registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, the Ontario Association of Social Workers, the College of Social Workers of Newfoundland, and the Canadian Association of Social Workers.

Over the past twenty years, I have worked in various settings with children, adolescents, families and adults, including psychiatric assessment, family counselling centers, youth shelters, children’s mental health and child welfare. My experience has also included training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Therapy. I practice with a trauma-informed lens and provide formal assessment and treatment of both Posttraumatic and Complex Traumatic stress disorders. I have also received training in Reiki and the use of Tarot in counselling. In addition to my clinical work, I provide clinical supervision, consultation and training to professionals and students in training.

I will ask if you have any questions for, or about, me at our first session. Please consider what else you are curious to know, and feel free to ask. I look forward to connecting soon.
